Blog assignment, 5
新年快乐! That means happy Chinese new year in Chinese! As everyone knows, Chinese new year is coming and everyone in my family is in a festive and delightful mood! Food, hong baos , reunion dinners, visiting my cousins' house and staying up late at night having fun with my family! Chinese new ye

So, we went to Chinatown, a place where all kinds of chinese new year goods are available, to get the decorations. It was rather tedious, because there was so many people there! We had to squeeze through the crowd to even get into the stores! Despite that, the festive mood was so great! I love it! After 3 hours of shopping, my family decided
We wanted to make sure that our house would be decorated stupendous and splendidly so we decided to split up the job between our family. My mother and brother was in charged of cleaning the house, my father was in charged of decorating the garden and I was in charged of decorating. Of course, we helped each other whenever any of us needed help. It certainly made me feel the "chinese new year" mood!
Soon, we managed to finished decorating our house, together. My house was practically red after we finished decorating! (red is believed to be a auspicious color in chinese new year) It certainly was a memorable experience for me and my family.

Blog assignment 4.
"When things go wrong as they sometimes will;
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill;
When the funds are low, and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but have to sigh;
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but do not quit.
Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you can never tell how close you are
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit-
It's when things go wrong that you must not quit."

In life, setbacks, failure and disappointment are bound to happen to all. Some choose to give in, some choose to give up. One of the greatest setback in my life almost caused
With hopes held high, I confidently took the the examination paper from my beloved Chinese teacher. When I saw my marks, my heart shattered into a million fragments. What?! How could I fail my higher Chinese paper? I stared at my terrible results, wondering what kind of music I am about to face. After school, I went to the canteen, with a look of woebegone on my face, blaming myself for not studying hard enough.
Then, my Chinese teacher, carrying her laptop, came beside me and asked if I was okay. I said yes, although in my heart, I knew the answer was no. She then took out her laptop, and showed me a video of a limbless person, falling down and somehow getting back up. She then encouraged me to work harder next time, telling me that failing my best subject may be a harsh setback to me but losing my interest in the subject would be even worse.
After being deeply encouraged by her, I realize I HAD to get back up again and work harder next time. Guess what, I attained a score of 76/100 in my next exam!

Blog assignment 3.
As you can see from the above title, today, I am going to blog about something fun that happened in school. To the majority of my classmates, Tuesday is envisaged as a very long or even, as some students might consider, a 'debilitating' day, due to the amount of work and lessons we have.
However, every Tuesday, me and my

Anyway, today, we got to bake cookies. It was a rather difficult yet very interesting and fun process. My teacher took quite a while to elucidate and demonstrate the process. Soon after that, the little "chefs" of my class had to get our hands on the mixer, flour
Then, our cookies were graded. I am so proud that me and my partner recieved a 14.5/15! After baking and tasting the cookies I made, it somehow gave me a huge sense a achievement, knowing that I did something anomalous and fun today, knowing that I learnt something new today.
magic?

Blog assignment, 2.
What is magic to us? Do YOU believe in magic? Maybe yes, maybe no. Well, to me, magic is what we CHOOSE to believe. We can believe that it is real, we can believe that it is fake.
I remember, when I was young, I saw magic tricks being performed by professionals. I was so amazed then! I guess, watching all those magic shows has influenced me into taking interest for performing magic tricks.
Haha, I know I need more practice. (:
P/s : Very sorry about the image under the video, I am not sure why its there, probably due to an error.
As the saying goes, "practice makes perfect". In order to perform my tricks convincingly, I would have to practice many times, at home, alone. Practicing magic tricks is something I enjoy doing alone.
So, why do I like practicing and doing magic tricks? I always loved how people look so amazed when I do the "impossible", just like how amazed I was when I was young.
Can YOU figure out the trick yet? (:

Blog assignment, 1.
So, today was indeed quite a special day. As everyone in VS knows, the school is having a half day today in recognition of the sec 4s'. Everyone knows how good it feels to celebrate success, but not all have felt the bitterness of being not able to meet up to your personal goals and standards. Anyway, today, I went out for lunch, with my sec 4 senior, just to get a chat with him and catch up on each other. However, what I am going to blog about today is not about the lunch I had with him, its about the things he taught me, and how he influenced me.
I still able to vividly perpetuate, the first time I met him, it was at the CCA show booth. He was the choir chairman, and since I was in choir since primary school, I showed interest in joining choir, so I asked him about a few things, including the benefits, etc. about choir. Little did I know that that one person would have piqued so much inspiration into me.

Soon, choir started , and I was quite lost because of the massive change of milieu. However, my always-friendly senior helped me to get used to the choir in whatever ways he could, helping me to master my songs when I needed help, helping me to improve myself in singing.

Besides giving me help in choir, he helped me in many other areas too. I would never forget how he helped me when I was feeling very depressed and down, how he cheered me up, how he made me a better person, how he made me stronger.
He was a role model to me, someone I always looked up on. Soon, he took his o levels, and received his results. I was looking around for him in the school hall, expecting to see him becoming the top student. However, things did not go as well as we thought. He received a very good score, but he wasn't exactly happy with the results he received. It hurts me to see such a close friend being so upset. So I decided it was my turn to try to cheer him up. I don't know if I have succeeded, but I hope I have. (:
Yes, this blog post is dedicated to you, Jia Lok. Thank you so much for being an inspiration to all, thank you so much for pulling me out from the pits when I felt at my worst. Thank you.

Task 14, VS reading programme assignment.
Book : Artemis Fowl
Main Character : Artemis Fowl II
Finally! I got hold of "the book"! Too many, this might not be a impressive thing. After all, its just a book right? WRONG! The Book is like a bible to a group of strange and mystical creatures. It holds secrets, customs, rules, and history, of the people, a group of fairies which not many people know about. Everything is going according to my plan. Soon, I would be able to use it against The People, and force them to give me their gold!
My mission to regain the gold my father lost years ago , in that fateful accident, would finally be accomplished...

My views on blogging
Thursday, January 6, 2011
A warm welcome to my blog! To start off, I used to be a very avid blogger (my old blog:http://blaze-antonia.blogspot.com/), and I am very excited to start blogging again!
In my opinion, blogging is a very good way of "showing" other people your thoughts. Not only can it be a wonderful way of communicating, it can also be a form of entertainment!
HOWEVER, to all bloggers out there, I can't help to stress that a blog is not a form of "weapon" to "attack" others on the internet! Doing that not only highlights your stupidity, it also shows how cowardly you are!
To conclude, I would like to thank the english department for implementing blogging as a way of teaching! It certainly would be refreshing to see a new way of teaching english!
Do comment about my blog on my tag board!
Oh, and reading these post might have tire you, eh? Heres a funny video for all to see:
